“What I say is the truth and nothing but the truth,” swears Kamalini Mukherjee.
The doe eyed Bengali beauty Kamalinee Mukherjee, the lovable heroine of Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu, has backed off from acting in the Tamil movies Kannamoochi Yenada and Karu Palaniappan’s Pirivom Sandhippom.
Karu Palaniappan is directing Cheran in ‘Pirivom Sandhippom.’ First Kamalini was to be the heroine but she was later replaced by Sneha. When Karu Palaniappan met the press last week, he told them that Kamalini opted out of the film because of call sheet problems.
But Kamalini has a totally different explanation to offer. According to her she liked the script that was narrated to her which had immense scope for performance which made her give dates for the film. Subsequently, the story was altered and her role was diluted and she withdrew from the project. “What Pazhaniappan says is his own opinion but the truth is only this”, I don’t know why the director is giving some other reason - concludes Kamalini.
What films is she acting in now?
Currently Kamalinee Mukherjee is busy in Tollywood with many films. Kamalinee Mukherjee is acting in a Telugu movie scripted by Bharathiraja. And she will be playing along side Pavan Kalyan in a film and in a guest appearance in her friend Thrivikram’s film where Ileana is the heroine. When asked about Tamil movies, the actress says that talks are going on and announcement will come in September.

“Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar” Meenakshi ready with sexy clothes
Meenakshi, who had done a very homely role opposite Karan in Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar, enacts a dynamic physician’s role in her upcoming movie Perumal with Sundar C. And her costume was an 8 yard sari. In her first film it was half sari, in her 2nd film it was sari. Meenakshi, think about the poor Tamilnadu youth!
“That is my fate. I actually am not familiar with wearing half sari or sari. My favorite attire is modern clothes and I ended up wearing saris.
The story revolves entirely around the heroine in this movie. Meenakshi deems herself a clear fit for modern roles, so acting in homely roles has always been a challenge for her.
I got the certificate that I look good in a sari but even now I am not confident enough to wear a sari. As far as I am concerned, sari is a very difficult attire,” said Meenakshi as she rushed away to her makeup room to get out of her sari.
Meenakshi is also a busy model besides appearing in films.

Sneha refused a role in Simbu’s film
Sneha is one of the very few talented actresses in Kollywood, who can do varied roles. She has won the admiration of fans playing homely roles. She is one the very few to shun away from glamour.
Now its Sneha’s turn to yearn for different character roles. Looks like the actress is tired of stereotypic roles coming her way. Sneha said that she expects roles sans any vulgarity as in Pudupettai. Pining for a role similar to the one played by Ramya Krishnan in Padayappa, Sneha said she wished to do a negative role.
Considering her smile to be a plus point, the actress also expressed her desire to do a lovable character with hidden traits of villainess.
The latest buzz is that Sneha had denied an offer to work in a Silambarasan’s movie.
She also managed to surprise a few in the industry when she refused a role in Simbu’s film. When queried, Sneha said, “yes. I did not accept it”. Asked why, she says, “I would rather love to pair him on the screen, rather than playing his aunt”.

The Film association board has planned to start the Star cultural event in Singapore and as well Malaysia.
In order to comfort the Actors and Actresses who are going to participate in the Star cultural event programmed, the Producer’s Association has decided to grant one day permission to halt all the shootings on the day of the Grand event which is going to be held on August 11th.
In between all these commitments, the Film Association Board is thinking over about banning some of the Actors and Actresses especially Namitha and Gopika who are stubborn not to attend the Star Function.
Some of the few legend stars who should set an example to other upcoming stars in the cine field have failed and have created a situation were film association board cannot even ban any one. Especially Rajini. Immediately after the date for the Cultural programme was announced, he at once departed to abroad.
